House Hacking 101

Have you heard the term “house hacking”? Similar to “life hacks” we’ve seen on social media and TV, house hacking is a strategy used to have other people pay for your house payment.

Deana Rogers recently attended a meeting on house hacking and it reminded her of when she moved from her parent’s home for the first time. She paid rent to someone else for years, essentially paying someone else’s mortgage payment.

This has been the traditional way things work. However, as our kids get ready to leave the nest, wouldn’t it be great if we could change that story?
